Ward Consultation Series 2004-2006  "International Theological Education for the 21st Century"

Multiple settings provided the context for this series.

Theological education does not equal school. School is only one manifestation of theological education. Hundreds of non-formal theological education initiatives are emerging in most countries. In light of contemporary concerns about theological education, this Series explores a deeper understanding of the nature and purpose of theological education and encourages the future in productive relationships among schools, churches, and non-formal initiatives.

made attendance for Volf and about thirty participants impossible. Because of the relevance of the topic to what was happening in America, we decided to go
ahead with the Consultation and begin the consultation with a conference call with Dr. Volf. What followed was more profound than we could ever have imagined ...
